An identity proposal for the city museum of Meran, north Italy. Inspiration came from the oldest bridge in the city, AD 1616. The bridge phisically connects people from different places, allowing them to overpass rivers and seas; the museum connects people from the past to the present. As a metaphor, the concept is graphically translated in the form of a line that connects the two words of the logo, “Palais” and “Mamming”. This line is then applied in the letterhead and business card as a decorative shape-shifting pattern, while for the posters and flyer it functions as a container in which archive images of the museum can be displayed.
